Still not much to report. A lot of energy went into waking up early and going to the driving school. Just two more weeks and I’ll be done, hopefully. But then come the exams, so…
Don’t expect much from me in the coming weeks.
This isn’t really programming, but still somewhat related. I’ve got a bunch of devices that support Linux (given enough time, I’m sure I’ll write a review for each of them), and I’ve spent some time trying to actually install Linux on them. Obviously, using a pre-built SD card image isn’t fun enough, and it’s a good opportunity to finally get some hands-on experience with booting ARM devices, so I’m trying to configure and build Das U-Boot and ARM trusted firmware. So far I’ve only built a cross compiler, which turned out to be surprisingly easy but still quite confusing. Right now I’m going through some problems building the firmware, which I honestly expected to be the least difficult part, but I guess it’s always like this when it comes to expectations.
I’ve attended a whole week’s worth of lectures. I’ve learned about signs, road markings, rules, etc. There is still twice as much left to learn, and then there are actual practice lessons, which should start next week.

I had to wake up at 8 AM every weekday and that has to count for something.
