I need to be quick today, I’ve got some more texts to write.
I’ve read some of that ASN.1 book, but it quickly started feeling like something I’m going to forget immediately. I’ll keep this book in mind and go back to it if I ever feel the need to work on something that requires knowledge of this kind. It helped improve my understanding of ASN.1, the problems it’s trying to solve, and that should be enough for now.
I switched to “Is Parallel Programming Hard, And If So, What Can You Do About It?” by Paul E. McKenney. I’ve barely finished the introduction so far, but I’ve got very high hopes for this book.
More of the same, really. I really need to set some goal for myself if I want to see any results.
I got a little time to finish that patch splitting algorithm. I didn’t upload anything on github yet because I’d like to integrate all this into guilt and use it for a while before releasing it. And I actually forgot to implement a “prepatch” version of the algorithm, but this should be easy to fix.
