It’s certainly been a while since the last post, and I’m sure a lot has happened but there’s no way I’m going to remember all of it. So let’s go over some of the main points.
Over the last two weeks I finished Blender Guru’s Blender 4.0 Beginner Donut Tutorial. It was great at showing me what all the buttons do and I feel ready to start experimenting and modelling things.
This week I went through Godot’s Getting started pages. I’m not sure I understand the node hierarchy completely yet, but I’m sure it’ll come with practice.
There was some programming here and there but sadly nothing worth showing. Feeling motivated to start working on some new projects, we’ll see how it goes.
Watched plenty of videos, added even more. I’ve actually changed the way I approach watching Youtube in general. Not sure if it’s worthy of a dedicated blog post, so here it is: almost everything goes through the “watch later” playlist. When I want to actually watch something, I reach for the playlist instead of going through the main page or the subscription feed. This lets me reduce the amount of time spent on looking for things to watch. If something is on the playlist, it’s worth watching. It requires a little discipline, but discipline is good for you, right?
Apocalyptic
I feel like a lot of progress has been made, even if spread over quite some time.
