This week I spent quite a bit of time putting what I read to practice. There’s this small thing I’d been wanting to make for a while now, so I took the first web framework I could find for Rust, which was Rocket, and got to work. Can’t say I managed to do much, but I went over the manual and made a single-templated-page website I’m hoping to expand with actual functionality later. Right now I have a strong feeling that Rocket is not such a good match for this project, but I’ll do my best to ignore it because I’m not going to get anything done otherwise. It’s really just a small utility, it doesn’t have to be perfect.
I really need to learn how to do web UIs. Honestly, this is really holding me back at times like these.
Crazy
Finally back to doing things.
